I grew up with a lot of second-hand mismatching bed sheets. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, I very much can and do appreciate a matching bedspread these days. My last duvet cover was almost six years old and on its last button– literally, rips and holes. After weeks of research, no duvet cover, and one pillow, sleeping with just a blanket, I made the purchase.
My dad will say I have a champagne taste on a beer budget, and on the rare occasion, I agree with that statement. But despite my fine taste, I’ve always managed to bargain shop and stretch my dollar. Or, more recently, only buy what I need, not what I want. But the best of both worlds happened for me in this case, and I found what I wanted but, more importantly, needed. From rags to riches my dreams came true and almost sleep too well as it is that comfy.
I was looking for something botanical pattern– no surprise there, also simple… and boy did Amazon provide. You honestly can get anything off Amazon these days and have it be good quality too! I snagged this stunning queen-sized Banana Leaf 3 piece Duvet cover, including a duvet sheet and two standard queen-size pillowcases. The fabric itself is almost buttery (lulu legging pant buttery), wash after wash it stays that way. I end up melting in the sheets myself from the warmth and softness.

The cherry on top I didn’t even know about till I washed them was how the duvet cover closes. No more hassles with ties or buttons. It’s a zipper, and it’s genuinely a game-changer as your duet cover isn’t falling halfway out during the night. There are ties inside the duvet cover if you want to attach the separate pieces. Otherwise, it fits snug as a glove either way without moving. Did I mention it was all of $29 and if you have prime it’s NEXT DAY shipping! Next time you want to buy new sheets, blankets, houseware, or anything for that matter, STOP. PAUSE and forget the name brands. Jess Bezos is the 21st century Santa Clause. I thank you and my wallet does too.
