Not many people know this, but Golden, CO is the FIRST mountain town outside Denver. Golden has so much to offer from incredible food, endless breweries, history, accommodation, and outdoor pleasures for all. Add this stunning quaint town for a weekend getaway. And, to make it even more enticing, I’ve gathered a full itinerary on the top places of where to stay, do, see and eat!
Let’s divulge.
Accommodation:
Located right off highway 6 ave, The Eddy Hotel awaits your stay. This escape is a beautiful boutique hotel with an exquisite bar/restaurant right in the downstairs lobby with front-row seat views to the foothills. While you are enjoying your stay and depending on the weather The Eddy Hotel provides (free) E-bike rentals for all guests. Clear Creek trail is located right next to The Eddy allowing quick and easy access into town.
Further West is The Origin Hotel. Another stunning accommodation that is also convenient if you are attending a Red Rocks event/concert as it’s right up the street from the infamous amphitheater. With roundtrip transportation being $25/per person, you can have a hassle-free evening from the parking lot madness. Before your evening fun, enjoy dinner and or drinks at Nomad (Taqueria + Beer Garden) located inside the hotel. Outdoor exploration is endless for all at The Origin Hotel. Check out the 2.5 acres Tony Grampsas Dog Park. That’s right, meaning The Origin Hotel is pet-friendly!
